Step up from the USB-only ScanJet Pro line and you get the HP ScanJet Pro N4600 fnw1 - a workgroup flatbed scanner with 50-sheet single-pass duplex ADF at 40 ppm/80 ipm at 300 dpi, plus the connectivity that the 2600/3600 line lacks: Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n/ac), and Wi-Fi Direct. The 4.3-inch color touchscreen runs scan-to-email, scan-to-network-folder, and scan-to-USB workflows directly from the device without a PC. Optical resolution peaks at 600 dpi, scans up to A4/letter on the flatbed and up to 8.5x122 inches via the ADF. Daily duty cycle is up to 5,000 pages. HP EveryPage with ultrasonic double-feed detection is included. The honest regret: this is a scanner, not an MFP - it doesn't print or copy. If you wanted scan plus print, the M528 or M430f MFPs cover both at often lower combined cost. For a workgroup that has plenty of printers but needs a dedicated network scanner with workflow features, this is the right tool.
