Every spec, no guessing
The WideTEK 48 is a 48-inch (1,220 mm) wide-format color CCD scanner that captures full A0 / E-size sheets in a single pass at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi (optical 1,200 x 600 dpi). Max scan speed is 12.1 inches per second (18.4 m/min) at 200 dpi color. It runs standalone on a 64-bit Intel Core Linux PC, controllable via web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) without a connected host. Dual LED lamps deliver 50,000-hour lifespan with zero warm-up. Output formats cover PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and PDF/A direct to USB, network shares, or FTP. It's pitched at libraries, art archives, and high-volume copy services. The honest catch: at 48 inches and CCD, this is genuinely production-class — pricing reflects it. If your originals consistently fit in 36 inches, the WideTEK 36 series is much cheaper. And like other CCD scanners in the line, it's simplex sheet-feed, not duplex. Best fit: libraries doing A0 newspaper or map digitization in volume.
