The Lanier MP 5054 is a floor-standing tabloid (11x17) B&W laser MFP built for workgroups of 20-50 users. It prints and copies at 50 ppm, holds 1,200 sheets standard across two 550-sheet drawers and a 100-sheet bypass, and expands to 4,700 sheets with the Tandem LCT plus Side LCT. First-page-out is 3.5 seconds and warm-up is around 19 seconds. The standard 220-sheet single-pass document feeder (SPDF) scans at up to 180 ipm in duplex — the major upgrade over the older MP 5002 ARDF. The 9-inch tiltable color LCD with USB and SD slots is the previous-generation Ricoh control panel; the next-gen MP 5055 brought the 10.1" Android-based Smart Operation Panel. Standard connectivity is Gigabit and 10/100 Ethernet, USB 2.0, and SD card; Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and IEEE 1284 are optional. The thing buyers regret: ordering the 5054 when their volume sits in the 18,000+ pages/month band — at that point the 6054 (60 ppm) is worth the upgrade.
