Is this the right printer for you?

Who the Lanier LD370 is actually for

Most equipment pages just tell you what a device does. Here's the honest version: when this machine is the right choice, when it's fine, and when you should look at something else. We offer equipment for every business need, but the right machine depends on your specific workflow.

Best fit

Pick this if...

  • You run a department or central reprographics area of 100-250 people that needs very high-volume mono A3 production.
  • You print 30,000-90,000 mono pages a month — well inside the 150,000-page duty cycle.
  • You need 70 ppm B&W throughput for time-sensitive walk-up copying and print runs.
  • You want a legacy MP-platform unit that takes the same supplies as the LD360 family.
  • You're keeping a Ricoh MP 7001 fleet alive on existing service contracts.
Works fine

You'll be happy if...

  • You print 90,000-130,000 pages a month — the chassis is built for it; budget for more frequent toner and developer rotations.
  • You're cross-shopping LD360 vs LD370 — same MP-series family; LD370 is the 70-ppm step up from the 60-ppm LD360.
  • You need finishing (staple, hole-punch, booklet) — the legacy MP-series finishers bolt on; plan for the footprint.
  • You don't need color — this is mono only.
Look elsewhere

Skip this if...

  • You need color — this is mono only despite the model number being in the same range as the C-suffix color units.
  • You print under 20,000 pages a month — overbuilt for that volume; the LD050B or LD140 is sized better.
  • You need touchscreen workflow apps and modern security — legacy platform from the late 2000s.
  • You don't have the floor space — large floor-standing unit; with LCT and finisher, footprint exceeds 60 inches wide.
  • You don't have a Lanier/Ricoh dealer for the MP 7001 family — supplies and service ship through dealer channels.
Full specifications

Every spec, no guessing

The Lanier LD370 is a high-volume mono A3 production MFP — Lanier rebrand of the Ricoh MP 7001 family. Built for departments or central reprographics areas of 100-250 people printing 30,000-90,000 mono pages a month. It runs 70 ppm in black and white, supports 11x17 print and copy, and is rated for a 150,000-page monthly duty cycle. Print resolution is up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. Like the LD360, paper handling expands to 4,100+ sheets with the optional large-capacity tray. Scan-to email, network folder, and FTP are standard. The LD370SP variant adds the printer/scanner package as part of the standard configuration. This is a legacy platform — most units sell as pre-owned, low-meter equipment now, but the MP 7001 supplies family is still in production through Ricoh channels. The thing buyers regret: assuming the LD370 is color because the manifest or a reseller listing says so. The model is mono only; for high-volume color, look at the LD375C (70 ppm color) or the current IM C6000 (60 ppm color, modern platform). The LD370 earns its keep when you have real mono production volumes — 30,000+ pages a month — and want a chassis that takes the well-supported MP-platform supplies.

Yes, the Lanier LD370 ships with a starter toner cartridge that yields approximately 43,000 pages at 6% coverage. The replacement toner model is Type 6110D (or part numbers 841332, 885400, 885273, 480-0089), which also provides a high-yield of 43,000 pages. When you lease through us with toner included, you never pay for toner separately.
The Lanier LD370 is a high-volume A3 production MFP designed for large departments, printing up to 70 ppm and handling 30,000-90,000 pages monthly, while the IM 350F is a compact A4 desktop MFP for small offices, printing at 35 ppm with a 40,000-page monthly duty cycle. The LD370 supports 11x17 paper and has a 150,000-page monthly duty cycle, whereas the IM 350F is limited to A4 and has a smaller footprint. For small offices with lower volume needs, the IM 350F is a more practical and cost-effective choice.
The Lanier LD370 is designed for high-volume environments, such as departments or central reprographics areas, with a monthly duty cycle of 150,000 pages and a speed of 70 ppm. For small businesses with lower print volumes, this printer may be excessive. Consider a more suitable option like the Lanier IM 350F.
No, the Lanier LD370 is a monochrome-only printer. For high-volume color printing, consider alternatives like the Lanier LD375C (70 ppm color) or the IM C6000 (60 ppm color).
