The KIP 850 is a 36-inch wide-format toner-based color multifunction for AEC firms, repro shops, and engineering departments at higher production volumes than the KIP 770. Print speed runs 8 D/A1 per minute color and 8 D/A1 per minute B&W. Resolution reaches 600 x 2400 dpi using KIP's toner-based imaging. Standard config includes 4 rolls auto-switching, integrated CIS scanner up to 36 inches, Gigabit Ethernet, and KIP Cloud connector. The regret on this machine: it's a step up from the KIP 770 with the same chassis and finishing, just faster color throughput — if your color volume is modest, the 770 saves money without losing line quality. Toner chemistry trade-offs for photo color still apply. Toner cartridge yield runs in the 60,000-page range A1 equivalent. KIP Cloud connector and KIPFold options handle remote job submission and inline folding for engineering deliverables.
