Every spec, no guessing
The WideTEK 48CL (48CL-600) is the CIS counterpart to the WideTEK 48 CCD: 48-inch (1,220 mm) max scan width, 50-inch (1,270 mm) document width, 2.5 mm thickness handling, 1,200 x 1,200 dpi optical (9,600 interpolated), 11.4 m/min (7.5 inch/s) color at 200 dpi, standalone 64-bit Linux with Intel quad-core, 16 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 7-inch color WVGA touchscreen. White-LED lighting is IR/UV-free with zero warm-up, and auto-width recognition, auto-crop, and auto-deskew speed up batch capture. Direct scan-to-FTP, SMB, USB, and cloud is built in. The honest catch: as with the 36CL, this is CIS — color fidelity is good but not absolute museum-grade CCD. For high-throughput AEC drawing capture and routine large-format archival, the 48CL is genuinely fast and cheaper than the 48 CCD. For art reproduction or color-critical reference, the 48 CCD is worth the premium.
