The WideTEK 36CL-600 is a wireless large-format CIS scanner for AEC and media professionals: 36-inch (915 mm) max scan width, document width up to 38 inches (965 mm), document thickness up to 2.5 mm, 1,200 x 1,200 dpi optical resolution, color speed of 10 inches per second at 200 dpi (1.7 ips at 600 dpi), 7-inch color touchscreen, stainless steel and glass scan path, and a standalone 64-bit Linux system with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB, FTP, and cloud output (PDF, PDF/A, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, multipage PDF). The honest catch: this is a CIS sensor, not CCD — color fidelity is good but not at the absolute museum-grade level of CCD scanners (the WideTEK 36 or 44 use CCD). For AEC plan and drawing capture where speed and reliability matter more than fine-art color accuracy, the 36CL is the right tool. For art reproduction or color-critical media work, step up to a CCD model.
