Every spec, no guessing
The WideTEK 25-600 is a large-format flatbed scanner with a 25 x 18.5 inch (635 x 470 mm) scan area, 19% larger than ISO A2. It captures at 1,200 x 600 dpi optical with two tri-color CCD line sensors, completes a full-bed scan in under 3 seconds at 300 dpi (or under 6 seconds at 600 dpi), and runs standalone on 64-bit Linux with an Intel i3 quad-core, 8 GB RAM, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB output — no host PC required. Diffused LED lighting is rated at 50,000 hours with an optional back-light for transparent media. Output formats include PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and DICOM. The catch: at 25 x 18.5 inches, this is the right tool for maps, art, large legal documents, and oversized originals — but if your work is mostly 36 inch plus blueprints, the WideTEK 36 series scanners pencil better. And it's flatbed only — no ADF — so loose-page batch volume is not its strength. Best fit: museums, libraries, and engineering firms with a steady stream of A2 and slightly oversized originals.
