It prints and copies 45 ppm in both black and color up to 12x18 (SRA3), runs auto duplex standard, and ships with a 100-sheet reversing ADF; the optional single-pass dual-scan ARDF doubles duplex scan throughput to ~220 ipm. Standard paper capacity is 1,200 sheets (dual 550-sheet drawers plus a 100-sheet bypass), expandable to 4,400 with the LCT. Monthly duty cycle is 200,000 pages, with a sane working range of 8,000-25,000 pages for departments of 30-75 people. The 8.5-inch WVGA color touchscreen and on-board PostScript 3 / PCL 6 / PDF Direct controller handle real scan-to-network and authentication workflows that the MP C4500 can't quite match.
