The Lanier MP C5503 is an A3 (11x17) color laser MFP built for departments of 30-60 users printing 15,000-30,000 pages a month with regular tabloid color and heavy scanning. It prints and copies 55 ppm in both black and color from two 550-sheet drawers plus a 100-sheet bypass (1,200 sheets standard, expandable to 4,700 with the Tandem LCT and Side LCT). Lanier rates the chassis at 200,000 pages max monthly. First-copy-out is 3.1 seconds black / 4.5 seconds color at 1200 x 1200 dpi from the 4-drum engine — the fastest in the C-series of its generation. The 220-sheet Single Pass Document Feeder (SPDF) is what makes the C5503 the upgrade from the C5502 — duplex scanning at 180 ipm via single-pass mechanism, no flipping originals. The 9-inch tiltable color touchscreen with SD/USB slot is the same panel across the C3503/C4503/C5503/C6003 series. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus three USB 2.0 host ports, Type B, and an SD slot; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Parallel are optional.
