The Lanier MP C2003 is a desktop tabloid (11x17) color laser MFP built for workgroups of 5-20 users that need real A3 color (12x18 / SRA3 supported) without committing to a floor-standing chassis. It prints and copies at 20 ppm in both black and color, holds 1,200 sheets standard across two 550-sheet drawers and a 100-sheet bypass, and is rated for around 100,000 pages/month max recommended volume. First-copy-out is 5.4 seconds black / 7.6 seconds color and warm-up is under 19 seconds. The 100-sheet Automatic Reversing Document Feeder (ARDF) handles two-sided originals by flipping them — slower than the single-pass SPDF that arrived on the newer MP C2504. The 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel is optional on this generation (it became standard on the C2504). Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, and USB host; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC are optional add-ons. The thing buyers regret: paying for the SP variant when their volume is genuinely 500 pages/month — at that load any small desktop A4 color MFP is a better fit. Launched 2014, discontinued — sold refurbished or off-lease now.
