The Kyocera TASKalfa 3511i is the successor to the 3510i — a floor-standing A3 monochrome laser MFP for departments of 20-60 users. The upgrade over the 3510i is true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution (versus 600 dpi multi-bit on the prior model), a refreshed controller, and a 9-inch color touchscreen (up from 8.5-inch). Engine speed is the same 35 ppm with a 3.6-second first-copy-out, and it shares the 200,000-page monthly duty cycle. Standard paper capacity is 1,150 sheets across two 500-sheet drawers and a 150-sheet bypass; max is 7,150 sheets with side feeders. The optional DP-7110 dual-scan ADF runs single-pass duplex at 160 ipm. The 9-inch touchscreen runs Kyocera HyPAS apps natively for scan-to-folder, scan-to-email, and document workflow integrations. Gigabit Ethernet and USB are standard; Wi-Fi (IB-51/IB-36), fax, and finishing are optional. The reason customers pick this over the 3510i: 1200 dpi and a better controller.
