The KIP 7000 is a 36-inch monochrome wide-format MFP aimed at architectural and engineering offices that print, copy, and scan D-size sheets day in and day out. It runs at 13 D-size pages per minute (about 780 per hour) at 600 x 600 dpi, with a 4-roll deck so you can leave bond, vellum, and tracing loaded simultaneously and let the printer pick the right roll. The dry-toner LED engine is forgiving on dusty job-trailer power and the prints come out water-resistant. Top stacking keeps the footprint tight, and you can bolt on the KIPFold 7000 if you want online folding for finished plan sets. The integrated scanner runs up to 9.6 inches per second mono with optional color scan and scan-to-file upgrades. Network drivers cover AutoCAD HPGL/2, PDF, TIFF, and Postscript through KIP PrintNET. The thing buyers regret most: the base scanner is mono only, and a lot of teams later wished they had specced the color scanner up front so they could digitize markup sheets without sending them out.
