The Ricoh IP C8500 is a single-function (printer-only) A3 color laser printer built for in-plant and marketing teams that need full-bleed tabloid color and don't need scan or copy on the same chassis. It runs at 45 ppm in both black and color, hits up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi via the same Apollo Lake imaging stack used on the IM C MFP series, and supports media up to 12 x 18 inches plus custom banner stock up to 49.6" long. Standard paper input is 1,200 sheets across two 550-sheet trays plus 100-sheet bypass, expandable to 4,850 with the side LCIT or 2,000-sheet LCT. The 7" Smart Operation Panel runs the same Android-based UI as the rest of the IM C series, so a Ricoh shop trains operators once. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB; Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) and 256GB SSD are both optional. Inline finishing covers stapleless binding, hole-punch, multi-fold, 1,000-sheet hybrid finisher, 1,000-sheet booklet finisher with saddle-stitch, and the 3,000-sheet finisher. Toner yields 43,000 prints black and 34,000 prints CMY. The thing buyers regret: paying multifunction money for a single-function chassis.
